An Australian politician has poked fun at a video recorded by actor Johnny Depp and his wife Amber Heard over their presently notorious dog smuggling spat with Australian quarantine officials.

Depp and Heard'south 40-second videotaped apology was submitted during a hearing in an Australian Ct on Monday. Heard pleaded guilty at the hearing to falsifying an immigration document when the couple brought their two dogs to Australia latest year. She avoided any jail time.

The couple'south delivery in the video was oddly wooden and the clip was quickly lampooned around the world, with many comparing it to a hostage video.

Agriculture Minister Barnaby Joyce on Tuesday said he could've directed the film better himself. Joyce says it looked love Depp was auditioning for "The Godfather."
