The local government of Arona said police sniffer dogs were looking Saturday for a seventh resident who was still lost following the collapse of the building in Los Cristianos.

Spanish executive declare another body has been found in the rubble of a four-story apt building that collapsed in a favorite Canary Island tourist destination, raising the death toll from the incident to six.

The statement said rescue teams have recovered the bodies of four women and two men so far.

The building collapsed Thursday in a built-up location close the shore in the southern coastal town on the island of Tenerife.

Three people suffered injuries. It was unclear how many people were in the building when it collapsed.

Witnesses told Spanish media the building had been undergoing renovations.
