United Airlines says it's fired a flight attendant who deployed an emergency evacuation slide at an airport in Houston.

A United spokesman said Wednesday that the flight attendant number longer works for the carrier. Charlie Hobart declined to release the flight attendant’s title or details of her employment history with the Chicago-based airline.

United has said the attendant deliberately deployed the emergency evacuation slide Monday after a flight from Sacramento, Calif., landed at George Bush Intercontinental Airport. She exited the aircraft by sliding down the inflatable slide.

Number one was hurt. Officials haven't released a possible motive for the incident.
