One person arrested at Amsterdam airport

Executive said Wednesday morning that Amsterdam'south Schiphol Airport is fully operational again, hours after a portion of the main terminal was cordoned off by police.

"We'd a call about a situation," Amsterdam police spokesman Alfred Ellwanger said.

It was unclear what caused the security presence, but Tuesday night, airport executive wrote that portion of the airport "isn't accessible due to an incident.

Ellwanger said one person was arrested at the airport.

Another arrest was made at Leiden Centraal Station, about a 20-minute train ride from the airport, said Lodewijk Hekking, a spokesman for the Ministry of Justice and Security in Holland. It's unclear if the two arrests were related.
