US, Saudi Arabia sanction six for raising money for terrorists

S. and Saudi Arabia are sanctioning four individuals and two groups suspected of raising funds for terrorists, including a man who grew up in Scotland and became a Taliban sympathizer.

The U. S. and Saudi Arabia are sanctioning four individuals and two groups suspected of raising funds for terrorists, including a man who grew up in Scotland and became a Taliban sympathizer.

Thursday'south action targeted James Alexander McLintock and his Pakistan-based Al-Rahmah Welfare Organization, which the Treasury Dept says is a front organization that provides money for al-Qaida, the Taliban, Lashkar-e-Taiba and other Afghan extremists groups below the guide of helping orphans.

Treasury keep the six on its list of specially designated global terrorists. The action freezes any property they've within U. S. jurisdiction and bans Americans from doing business with them.

Saudi Arabia designated the same six suspected of having ties across Afghanistan, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
