A 99-year-old San Francisco woman has won an eviction reprieve, and for presently won't have to leave the apt where she's lived since the 1940s.

The San Francisco Chronicle reports (http://bit. ly/1Nob7Jw ) that eleven years ago Iris Canada was promised she could hold living in her flat for the rest of her life, for $700 a month.

Lawyers for the unit'south owners — Peter Owens, Stephen Owens and Carolyn Radisch — contend the retired nurse hasn't lived continuously in the flat and has failed to hold the place up.

Her attorney, Michael Spalding says she was, for a time, in the hospital following a stroke and caring for a ill relative. A judge postponed the eviction and ordered lawyers for both sides back following week to define if it should be lifted permanently.
