After a 2-year-old girl was found wandering the streets in S Ogden, UT Tuesday morning, police were on the look for for her parents.

Fox thirteen reports a passerby spotted the tiny girl in her pajamas around 1:30 a. m. The girl was then taken to the police Sta as officers worked to identify her parents.

“We couldn’t obtain a lot out of her because of her age,” S Ogden Police Sgt. Trent Olsen said. “Officers attempted to discover porch lights that were on, anybody home, anybody who looked, we actually knocked. Several doors.”

When there were number solid leads before eight:00 a. m., the officers began canvassing the area.

“We were very concerned when we didn’t obtain a call by 8 o’clock in the morning that there could actually be a health issue, with one of the parents… which is why we started our door to door active search,” Olsen said.

Just before noon, officers did discover the girls parents, about a quarter of a obstruct from where she was found.

The girl’s grandmother, Laura Marsh, said the girl'south parents worked late that night and didn't know she was missing.

“When [my daughter] came residence latest night, she just went to bed,” Marsh said. “And she didn’t even know she was lost yet. So she went to sleep, and woke up and that’s when they couldn’t find her.”

The S Ogden Police are investigating to look if criminal charges will be filed, and the Div of Baby and Family Services will define whether the baby can return home. She was still in DCFS custody Tuesday night.

Marsh said the situation has been devastating to her daughter.

“She’s worried that’s what people are going to do is think that she’s a horrible mom and that she allowed this to happen,” Marsh said. “She didn’t. She was working tough last night.”
