Players who are either from the Bay Area or played college football in the area are able to attend. Some draft-eligible players who fit that category such as Cal quarterback Jared Goff, Stanford tight finish Austin Hooper and Cal receiver Kenny Lawler aren't on hand; they're permitted to visit at another time and wouldn't count as one of the "official" thirty pre-draft visits NFL teams are allotted.

SANTA CLARA -- Stanford quarterback Kevin Hogan, Stanford guard Josh Garnett and San Jose State running back Tyler Ervin highlight the list of sixty-seven players on hand for the #49ers' local pro day in Santa Clara.

The grouping also includes Sacramento State linebacker Darnell Sankey, who's from San Jose, and Notre Dame wide receiver Amir Carlisle, whose father, Duane, once was the 49ers strength and conditioning coach and who's from the Bay Area.

Hogan and San Jose State'south Joe Gray are the only quarterbacks in attendance. Of the players on hand, Garnett is expected to be the first player taken. He could go as high as the second round.
