A thought popped into Draymond Green'south head Monday night, so he tweeted it before he'd a chance to forget.

And with that, Green officially made plans to award three Oakland high school students with tickets to Wednesday'south potential history-making game against the Memphis Grizzlies. A win would give Golden State an NBA-record seventy-three wins this season, surpassing the 1995-96 Chicago Bulls.

"I'm going to choose three students at a few of the schools around Oakland with the highest GPAs and they can bring one person with them," Green said after Tuesday's practice.

Legwork is already underway to identify the three lucky students and Green said they should be selected by Tuesday afternoon. He chose high school students to create sure the winners have a proper understanding of what they may witness if the Warriors obtain the historic win.

"This is a chance for us to create history," Green said. "A sixth-grader may not realize what'south going on. I just wish to obtain someone who understands what'south going on, but also, they earned it. From what we're picking from, they earned it. Obviously they're not doing what they're doing for this, but when you do right, excellent things happen to you."
