You can count the Warriors’ losses on two hands

The Golden State Warriors can set an NBA record Wednesday with a win over the Memphis Grizzlies.

A triumph would give the Warriors a 73-9 regular-season mark, bettering the 72-10 record of the 1995-96 Chicago Bulls.

Nearly as impressive as the Warriors’ winning percentage of .889, is they've lost just nine games this season. The Philadelphia 76ers lost their ninth game precisely five months ago. Every other NBA team besides the San Antonio Spurs, who held out until Feb. eighteen, lost their ninth game by Dec. twenty-six.

Here’s a game-by-game see at the Warriors’ losses this season:

The Warriors had twenty-four turnovers, gave up a 17-point lead and Stephen Curry was off-target (seven of twenty-five) against Minnesota, which came in three losses in a row and four it in its previous five games.

The residence loss was the second of the season for the Warriors, their second in three games.

Curry misses a three-point attempt with 5.3 seconds to go and Boston hands Golden State its first residence loss since Jan. twenty-seven, two thousand fifteen, a span that included fifty-four consecutive wins.

Draymond Green wrestles the ball from Boston’s Amir Johnson with below a min to play, then loses the ball to the Celtics with twenty-three.9 seconds to go.

San Antonio happened. Curry is held to just fourteen points, and the Warriors are held to a season-low total, and a season-low thirty-seven points in the first half as the Spurs make better to 35-0 at home.

The Warriors finish with seven more assists and seven fewer than the Spurs but have number reply for LaMarcus Aldridge, who scores a game-high 26 points on 11-of-twenty-five shooting.

It makes small sense to declare a regular-season game can be considered among the biggest upsets in NBA history, but in this case, maybe it does create sense. Jordan Clarkson scores 25 points and rookie DeAngelo Russell twenty-one as the Warriors, whose starters account for just fifty-one points, obtain running out of Staples Center.

The Warriors had won seven games in a row, and had two full days off before losing to the Western Conference’s worst team.

Damian Lillard went off with fifty-one points, prompting Warriors coach Steve Kerr to quip the Blazers guard “looked love Steph Curry out there.” Lillard says he hasn’t scored at least fifty points since ninth grade. The visiting Warriors give up a season-high in points.

The Warriors’ Draymond Green is two assists shy of a triple double, but also has nine turnovers.

Detroit outscored Golden State thirty-eight-19 in the second quarter as the visiting Warriors are called for two technical fouls in the period. Andre Drummond has fourteen points and twenty-one rebounds for the Pistons, who stop a two-game losing streak.

The loss is the second in three games for the Warriors.

Steph Curry scores twenty of his 38 points in the fourth quarter, loses the ball to Denver’s Danilo Gallinari (twenty-eight points) in the game’s final moments. It was Curry’s eighth turnover of the game.

The Nuggets finish a four-game losing streak to the Warriors, even though they were outscored 37-29 in the fourth quarter.

Steph Curry is out with a leg injury, and J. J. Barea leads Dallas with 23 points as he fills in for the injured Deron Williams. The Mavs streak to a 60-42 halftime lead.

The following night in Houston, despite playing their third game in four days, the Warriors handle the Rockets 114-110 to make better to 30-2.

A night after beating Boston in overtime, visiting Golden State looks a bit out of gas in falling to a Milwaukee team that'd lost the night before in Toronto. The beat ends the Warriors’ 24-game winning streak.

The game was the latest of a seven-game ride for the Warriors, who later go 6-1 on another seven-game trip.
