The ten Most Scathing Tabloid Covers Skewering the Presidential Candidates

Election season offers a feast for headline writers.

Among the harshest NY City tabloid covers this election cycle, most have been directed toward Republican candidates Donald Trump and TX Sen. Ted Cruz.

The most recent critical cover was published Thursday by the NY Daily News with a headline that read "Take the Fahrenheit U train Ted!" sprawled over a photo of Cruz and his wife, Heidi.

The cover legend discussed Cruz'south recent campaign stop in the Bronx, where he was met with several unwelcome remarks by residents, particularly directed at his stance on immigration and his comments on how GOP rival Donald Trump represents "New York values."

Other covers have mocked Trump for referencing his manhood during a GOP debate, a former Ku Klux Klan grand wizard'south support of the genuine estate mogul and his loss to Cruz in the IA caucuses.

Meanwhile Democratic candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders faced judgment from the tabloids for opposing efforts to sue gun manufacturers involved in the two thousand twelve Sandy Hook shooting. The NY Post also teased Hillary Clinton for her loss to Sanders during the NH primary.

As the presidential candidates create their way through NY City before the state'south April nineteen primary, check out the other covers the tabloids have released criticizing the White House hopefuls.
