Meryl Streep Sings Her Own Rendition of Song From Broadway Hit 'Hamilton'

Meryl Streep is one of the many who can't obtain sufficient of the hit Broadway musical "Hamilton."

The Oscar winner broke out into a song from the hip-hop musical, centered on the life of Alexander Hamilton, while making a speech at the Women in the World Summit in NY City on Friday.

Streep, sixty-six, keep her own spin on "The Room Where it Happens," even doing a tiny choreography with her hands.

"All of a sudden we're in the room where it happens ... Women are suddenly in the room where it happens," she sang as the audience cheered and applauded.

"I couldn't resist that," Streep added.

Actor Leslie Odom, Jr., who portrays former Vice President Aaron Burr in "Hamilton," sings the song in the second act. The original lyrics are: "I wish to be in the room where it happens."

Streep joins a long list of celebrities who have taken to the Broadway musical, including Tom Hanks, Oprah Winfrey, Kerry Washington, Amy Schumer, Steve Martin, Jennifer Lopez, Lena Dunham, and even President Barack Obama. VT Sen. Bernie Sanders and his wife saw the musical Friday.
