Justin Timberlake is facing valid action from Cirque du Soleil after being accused of copying portion of one of its songs.

The Canadian circus company said Don't Keep The Wall used portion of an original composition without permission.

Timberlake'south song appeared on his two thousand thirteen double album twenty/twenty, which has sold more than two million copies.

The lawsuit filed in federal Ct in NY claimed Timberlake borrowed from the song Steel Dream, which was originally on Cirque du Soleil's one thousand nine hundred ninety-seven album, QUIDAM.

The suit seeks a minimum of $800.000 (£562.000) in damages for copyright infringement.

In addition to Timberlake, the lawsuit also named among the defendants the producer Timbaland - genuine title Timothy Mosley - who helped write the song, and Sony Music Entertainment, which released the album.
