Arm of Rocklin’s Purple Communications opens TX call middle

ClearCaptions, an arm of Rocklin-based Purple Communications, has opened a new relay service call middle near Dallas.

The center, operated in partnership with Stellar Relay in Irving, Texas, is staffed by employees who alleviate the conversion of spoken voice into text captions for ClearCaptions customers.

Purple Communications is provider of text/video relay and on-site interpreting services for people who are deaf or tough of hearing. In two thousand-eleventh, it launched ClearCaptions, which displays live, near-real-time captions of telephone calls on Web browsers or through a committed application on iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch devices.

“We’re always seeking opportunities to expand our regional presence in our quest to better serve people with some form of hearing loss, a pop that's over forty-eight million in America,” Bob Rae, CEO and president of ClearCaptions, said in a statement.
