Chicago Fire pizzeria opens in Elk Grove

Folsom-based W of Chicago Restaurants Inc., which oversees the Sacramento-area chain of Chicago Fire pizza restaurants, has opened its fifth local eatery in Elk Grove.

Hours at seven thousand one hundred-first Laguna Blvd., are eleven:30 a. m. to ten p. m. Sun through Thursday and 11:30 a. m. to 11 p. m. Friday and Saturday.

The company also oversees two Chicago Fire restaurants in Folsom, one in midtown Sacramento and one in Roseville.

Chicago Fire was started in two thousand-third by CEO and corporate chef Eric Schnetz, who was born in Carmichael and raised in Palatine, Ill., a suburb northwest of Chicago. Schnetz parlayed his extensive information of Chicago-style pizzas into a local business.

Latest year, Schnetz said was contemplating Chicago Fire pizzerias in the Bay Area, LA and outside California.
