Donald Trump has said he can hardly recollect the latest time he apologized, but the GOP presidential front-runner on Sun expressed at minimum some regret after a series of campaign missteps.

"I guess not" Trump said on “Fox News Sunday,” when asked during a taped interview about whether latest week was the best of his campaign.

In recent days, the first-time candidate retweeted an unflattering picture of primary rival Sen. Ted Cruz’s wife, suggested NATO should be dismantled and fumbled a response to a question -- suggesting “some form of punishment” for women who have abortions if the procedure were illegal.

“I could've done without the tweet,” said Trump, whose horrible week could particularly damage him with female voters.

Trump wouldn’t consent that he made a error on the abortion question but said, “Yeah, I'd have rather answered it in a different manner.”

He eventually issued two statement to make clear is comments.

Trump has running his campaign since June in an unabashed fashion in which he's risen in the polls in portion with unapologetic remarks about deporting roughly eleven million illegal immigrants in the United States and a call for a temporary ban on Muslim immigrants.

But on Sunday, the NY genuine estate magnate said he’s been a politician for just eight months and is still learning.

“There is always a learning curve,” he said.

Trump said on CNN latest week that he couldn’t precisely recall when he latest apologized, maybe when his mother scolded him for using profanity.

Trump held firm on his position that NATO has become obsolete. He said the international peacekeeping force doesn’t focus sufficient on stopping terrorism and that the United States pays too much for what it gets in return. However, he still called for change.

“I think NATO has to be re-adjusted,” he said, also arguing that Japan and S Korea start defending themselves against a nuclear-driven N Korea, or pay the United States more money.

“They’re ripping off the United States just love everybody else who does business with the United States,” Trump said.

He also remained defiant his decision to defend campaign manager Corey Lewandowski, who's been charged with misdemeanor battery for allegedly grabbing the arm of a female reporter.

He said the reporter, Michelle Fields, originally and falsely claimed she was nearly knocked to the ground and that Lewandowski is a “good, honest man.”

“The easier thing would've been: ‘Corey, you're fired. You're not very excellent at that, OK?’ But I don't wish to ruin him . I don't wish to destroy him.”
