The Williams Formula one team isn't releasing any information concerning Robert Kubica and his recent test at Silverstone Circuit.

All a spokesman for the British team would declare about the Polish driver's running in a two thousand fourteen car was that it'd been deemed a success.

"We won't be releasing any further information at this time," the spokesman said.

But it's believed Williams will chase up Kubica's Silverstone running on Wednesday with a more comprehensive two-day test in Hungary next week.

That test will also be attended by Paul di Resta, another contender to replace Felipe Massa on the team next year.

"We will test those two drivers," team technical director Paddy Lowe confirmed. "We won't give far any information around what we do within those tests -- that's a private matter for us, and I'd stress that it doesn't imply they're the only drivers under consideration."

Kubica was injured in a crash on the first stage of the Ronde di Andora Rally back in two thousand-eleventh. He was driving a Super 2000-specification Škoda Fabia in Testico, Italy, when his car left the road at high speed and slammed into a barrier close the church of San Sebastiano.

Kubica was trapped in the car for more than an hr before rescue workers were able to extricate him.

The crash permanently damaged his right arm and seemed to prematurely finish his F1 career. Kubica certified Renault's two thousand seventeen car in Hungary recently and seems determined to return to the grid with one team or the other.
