Joey Gase joins BK Racing for NASCAR Daytona five hundred

The list of Daytona five hundred one-offs began to get form on Tuesday when BK Racing announced that Joey Gase would connect the team for &#thirty-nine;multiple races' for the two thousand seventeen Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series season.

For now, Gase is scheduled to compete at Daytona, in the Bristol Night Race and the Quaker State four hundred at KY Speedway. He'll drive the No. twenty-three Toyota Camry with financial backing from Best Home Furnishing.
Gase is 23-years-old and has made thirteen Monster Energy Cup starts, including six in two thousand-sixteenth with Go Fas Racing. He’s raced full-time in the Xfinity Series since 2013.

"I cannot keep into words how thankful I'm for the opportunity everyone at Best Residence Furnishings and BK Racing has given me" Gase said in a news release. "Racing in the Daytona five hundred and the Bristol night race has been a dream of mine since I can remember. It’s very exciting to share this experience with everyone at Best Residence Furnishings and those who have helped me obtain to this point in my career."

Gase is the first driver to connect BK Racing in any capacity since the announced departures of full-time drivers Matt DiBenedetto and David Ragan. DiBenedetto joined Go Fas while Ragan returned to Front Row Motorsports. BK Racing owner Ron Devine holds two ownership charters that guarantee his cars entry into every Cup race next season.

"We’re thrilled to have Joey and Best Residence Furnishings, one of the largest furniture manufacturers, connect us for the Daytona five hundred in February," Devine said. "It is the largest race of our series and a wonderful event for Joey to debut his BK Racing relationship. We’ve been watching Joey’s growth for quite some time and looking forward to seeing what he can do behind the wheel of a BK race car."
